A website should say who runs it. This page does, and tells you where to write.

Who runs this site

OpenBook is run by Sajal Jahan. It is a small site, made by one person, and it is still being built.

The site is at openbook.cool.

How to get in touch

Write to hello@openbook.cool. That address reaches a person, and it is the right one for every kind of message — a question, a complaint, a legal notice, or a request about your own data.

Who is responsible for what is on it

Sajal Jahan is responsible for OpenBook itself — the site, and the words the site says.

What is written inside a Book is written by the person who keeps that Book, and it stays theirs. OpenBook does not write, choose or rank any of it.

If something on a page ought not to be there, write to the address above and say which page. The Terms page lists what is not allowed and what happens when somebody does it anyway.

Where the site runs

OpenBook is built out of four services, and none of them is given a Book to do anything with except hold it:

  • Vercel — serves the pages.
  • Supabase — the database and the sign-in system. Data is stored on servers in Ireland, inside the EU.
  • Resend — sends the letters, such as confirming an email address or resetting a password.
  • Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google.

What each of them holds, and for how long, is on the Privacy page.

Your data

You can ask for a copy of everything we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and everything in it. Write to hello@openbook.cool and it will be done within 30 days. The Privacy page has the detail.
